Northern Police on lookout after thefts

Police throughout the north are on alert as Mitchell Crime Investigation Unit detectives investigate burglaries, theft of motor car in Kilmore and subsequent deceptions which occurred in July.
Investigators have been told a premises in Union Street was broken into about 9.50pm on July 16.
Jewellery, electrical items and a brown coloured Volkswagen Passat station wagon were stolen.
Another premises was broken into on Albert Street about earlier in the day on July 16.
In this incident jewellery was stolen.
The stolen Volkswagen from Union Street was also used in a burglary and attempted burglary in South Morang on July 17.
It was later found burnt out in South Morang on July 27.
Investigators believe that all of these incidents are linked.
A credit card which was stolen during one of the burglaries was used at service stations in Preston and Kingsbury to purchase cigarettes on July 17.
Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist their enquiries.
