Kinglake West CFA predicts an earlier than usual fire season.
The unit posted on Facebook: Brigade members spent time last Sunday brushing up their Off Road Driving Skills in preperation for the coming fire season. The indications are that the fire season will be earlier than normal this year. The Kinglake West area has experienced below average rainfall each month since May this year.
It is now time for property owners to get stuck into their fire preperations.
Murrindindi Shire fire restrictions are commencing soon.
An amnesty period for properties within town limits applies from October 1 to 15. (conditions apply)
Council fire restrictions commence October 15.
