Shortened Remembrance Day service on Sat., Nov. 11


The Yea-Kinglake RSL Sub-Branch will host the Remembrance Day 2017 commemoration at the Yea Cenotaph on Saturday, November 11, commencing at 11am.

Members of the public and RSL members attending are requested to assemble at the Cenotaph by 10.45am.

The CFA Fire Bell will toll at 11:am as a mark of respect and to signal the beginning of the period of silence. The Fire Bell will toll again after one minute.

Persons wishing to lay a wreath are requested to contact the RSL A/Secretary, Jeff Swain, on 5796 9353. Wreaths should be delivered to the Cenotaph on the day, by 10:30am

The commemoration will be shortened so families with children can still attend before heading off to the various sports venues.

Refreshments will be available afterwards at the RSL Hall.
