Man dies after Kilmore accident

A man has died in hospital following a crash in Kilmore last week. Investigators believe an 84-year-old man was driving along Foote Street when his car struck the rear of a stationary garbage truck about 9.30am on Wednesday, November 15. Storm creates problems across North-East

Emergency units were called to a Cottles Bridge property tonight (Fri.) after reports of property damage caused by a fierce storm. Units also are attending at Eltham, Eltham North, St Helena and Montmorency after reports of flooding. Emergency Victoria reports instances of property damage at Healesville and Doreen.

Sad news: passing of Pat Carter

Yea is buzzing with sad news of the passing of Pat Carter. Pat and her family came to Yea from Wallacedale (Western District, Victoria) about 1946, maybe earlier. She retired about 2001, maybe later. More in the next issue of The Local Paper.

Local winners at RACV tourism awards

Holmesglen at Eildon has won Gold in the category of Business Events Tourism at the 2017 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards. The Yea Peppercorn Hotel won Silver in the category of Tourism Restaurants and Catering Services, and Sedona Estate were finalists in the category of Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries.
