Alex FNC’s recycling project reaches 1700-kg
Sunday, January 28, 2018
Alexandra Football-Netball Club’s aluminium can recycling project, started in late 2015, has collected more than 1700 kg of aluminium for recycling.
Key aim of the project is to reduce the amount of material going into landfill as well as providing some income for the Club.
The project has prevented more than 1700 kg of aluminium cans going into local landfill.
The project is ongoing and Richard Jack is the project manager.
There are wheelie bins with red lids marked “cans only” at Alexandra Football-Netball Club, against the Club rooms when you enter the reserve. Please deposit cans, creushed if possible, in the bins.
Bins are also located at:
• Alexandra Race Club;
• Alexandra Cricket Club;
• Alexandra Golf Club;
• Goulburn Valley Water depot;
• DELWP Alexandra depot;
The Club would be happy to deliver a bin to businesses/ schoosl that generate aluminium cans. All bins are emptied on a regular basis.
