A grassfire is underway at Nugget Drive, Tyaak, An Emergency Victoria advice has been issued for residents of Tyaak, Reedy Creek and Sunday Creek. The fire is described as bein “under control”. “There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions,” says Emergency Victoria.
A small fire at Royston Range Rd, Rubicon, is described by Emergency Victoria as being “contained”. Twelve vehicles have responded to the call-out.
The search continues today (Thurs.) around the Eildon area for missing Hoppers Crossing man Aly Hadzic. Police understand the 27-year-old fell from a boat in Lake Eildon about 6.30pm on Wednesday (Jan. 17). Plans are underway to transform the intersection at Grant and Downey Sts in Alexandra at the urging of Eildon MLA Cindy McLeish.
