Opposition stuns: CFA reforms voted down
Friday, March 30, 2018
“The controversial bill to reorganise Victoria’s fire services has been voted down after the state opposition reneged on parliamentary pairing arrangements at the eleventh hour,’ reportsĀ The Age.
“If the reform had been passed, Victoria’s firefighting operations would have been restructured, with the Metropolitan Fire Brigade replaced by Fire Rescue Victoria and the Country Fire Authority becoming a volunteer-only service.”
