With more than 10,000 readers per week – in print and online – The Local Paper is Murrindindi Shire’s best-read media outlet.
The Local Paper has a weekly print edition. Recent issues have been 72 pages – with far more local news and photos than any other local media outlet. It is available free from more than 70 outlets, and home-delivered free in selected areas.
Some media outlets have a cover price and a paywall, The Local Paper is always available free.
The Local Paper is also free online, with more daily updates than any other local media outlet. The Local Paper has the district’s most comprehensive sports coverage, with special Saturday and Sunday online updates. More than 1000 readers choose to have our free online edition delivered electronically to their in-box every Wednesday morning via our free opt-in service. It provides an exact replica of our print edition, free of charge.
The Local Paper has more print readers than any other local newspaper in Murrindindi Shire; more than double that of The Standard; more than seven times that of The Chronicle. The Local Paper is also multi-platform: desktop (63 per cent), tablet (6 per cent), mobile (31 per cent).
