UPDATE (WED., MAY 2)

A man has died following a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck at Toolangi earlier today.

The crash happened on the Healesville-Kinglake Road just after midday when the south-bound motorcyclist collided with a tipper truck and trailer travelling in the opposite direction.

The rider, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

Police will investigate the cause of the collision and prepare a report for the coroner.

“Emergency services are at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Healesville-Kinglake Rd,” reports Crime Watch Victoria, which advises the road is closed between Chum Creek Rd, Healesville and Myers Creek Rd in Toolangi.
