Logging protest at Rubicon

Eighty people have walked into one of Victoria’s largest logged areas on the mountain slopes in the Rubicon State Forest, to highlight logging in the area. Council’s ‘community safety’ re-branding

Murrindindi Shire Council’s ‘Local Laws’ Unit has been renamed the ‘Community Safety’ Unit to better reflect its work. The Team will continue to deliver the same service, including domestic animal management, permit issuing and fire prevention activities. There will be new Community Safety vehicles.

New parking bay at Yea Saleyards

Murrindindi Shire Council has announced the completion of the new truck parking bay at the Yea Saleyards. The Council says the new parking bay will provide a safe delineated space for up to 30 trucks – from B-Doubles to Rigid Trucks. The Council is thanking all parties involved in the construction process.
