A total of $3000 in vouchers is being distributed this month to local veterans, Yea-Kinglake RSL Sub-Branch has announced.

Yea-Kinglake RSL Appeals Manager, Sam Murauer, thanked the community for their support to the recent RSL Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day Commemorations.

“The 2018 Poppy Appeal raised over $4700 from the Yea, Flowerdale and Kinglake districts. This was an increase over previous years, and will be available to veterans in 2019,” said Sam.

“We can not thank the community enough for their support.”

Proceeds from the 2017 Poppy Appeal and the 2018 ANZAC Appeal are being distributed to local veterans.

“The Yea-Kinglake RSL has $3000 in vouchers which are being issued to our local veterans this month.

“None of the Appeals donations are spent on administration,” Sam confirmed, “All donations are used for the benefit of veterans”.
