Storm warnings issued

Wednesday’s heat and humidity has the potential to bring heavy rain and thunderstorms, according to Senior Meteorologist Tom Delamotte from the Bureau of Meteorology Victoria.

Tom said a intense low pressure system today will bring the potential for heavy rain with current models suggesting the heaviest falls across the north east and northern country.

There is a potential for localised flash flooding and more rain is expected on Friday, with potential for heavy falls across southern and western parts of Victoria.

The Bureau of Meteorology is likely to issue warnings today and tomorrow – including marine wind warnings.
