Council, CEO sued by Jack … again

Yea resident Jack Russell, 80, has issued his latest writ against Murrindindi Shire Council and its Chief Executive Officer, Craig Lloyd.
Mr Russell currently has other Supreme Court and judicial review matters before the courts.
Supreme Court records show that the latest proceeding was filed on Thursday (Jan. 10). The action concerns personal injury and public liability (Wrongs Act) matters.
The Council is believed to have spent between $80,000-$100,000 to date in legal costs, defending the matters.
Mr Russell was recently given permission to resume his attendances at the monthly Murrindindi Shire Council meetings, and may attend at Council properties, with the exception of some times when certain staff members are present.
