Yea Golf: Ladies Challenge Fightback
Sunday, January 13, 2019
Although outnumbered two to one the Yea Golf Ladies took out the honours in Saturday’s Gender Challenge Stableford event. Taking advantage of the cooler weather Ladies winner, Vicki Clements (22) carded a fine 38 to pip Peter Keast (24) and Brendall Chenhall (15) with 37 for the daily event.
Marianne Peterson (45) continued her recent good form with a fine 35 pointes to be Ladies Runner-Up, helping the Ladies to record the best average gender score for the day. Neil Peterson was NTP. The Ladies increased their score by 25 points and the Men 17 narrowing the Gender Challenge gap to just 10 points!! Well done Ladies.
The Club will host the second round of the Murrindindi Masters at the course this Saturday. With 94 players entered, a mildish forecast and the course in tip-top condition we look forward to an enjoyable and successful day. Thanks to major sponsor, Norm Reddrop and Foodworks Yea, Alexandra and Marysville, organisers and volunteers for their hard work preparing for the day.
Anyone keen to have a birds eye (or is that a drone) view of each hole on our course just need to click on the Course tag on this, our website. It may put a new perspective on how you approach each hole.
