It is going to be a big multi-media year at The Local Paper.
We are planning a year of record-size print issues of The Local Paper, starting in the first week of February.
Our online local news coverage continues to grow through the summer break at www.LocalPaper.com.au
And this year will see the introduction of Dindi.TV – and a 7-day-a-week Dindi Daily podcast of local news. Other content too.
Our TV credentials go back a way. In 1975-76, I completed a video production/media course at La Trobe University, with Jacqui Salkeld. We are pictured in 1974: (from left) Ash Long, Fleur Long (back to camera), Jacqui Salkeld and David Salkeld. Photo by Greg Bartley. (I was a co-founder of the University of Melbourne’s own TV station in 1975-76-77.)
During those 44 years since 1975, my career has included being Producer of the Mansfield’s Melbourne, Sydney Report, Brisbane Report and Adelaide Report programs, Night Owl Theatre and other TV shows. A career highlight was taking the program to BBC Gloucestershire in the UK.
We are really going to enjoy this year. It will be loads of fun. We hope you enjoy it too.
