A petition about a property at The Boulevard, Eildon, will be presented to the Murrindindi Shire Council meeting to be held on Wednesday (Jan. 23) at Yea.

The petition is signed by 15 people and submitted by John Turner. The petition also has 13 supporting submissions requesting a 25% decrease in rates for relevant properties.

The petition is in relation to a Goulburn Murray Water property in The Boulevard, Eildon. The petition has two requests:

1. petition to Murrindindi Council to reduce our Council Rates after a clearing by GMW in The Boulevard has impacted on property values of its residents
2. the residents of The Boulevard requesting action to revegetate the recent destruction of the open drain.

A Council officer is recommending that “Council refer the petition to the Director Corporate and Shared Services for a report to be prepared for the February 28 ordinary meeting of Council.
