Plans for a yoga and wellness retreat, proposed to be built at a Yea property, are about to be advertised.

Planning company, Spiire Australia Pty Ltd, intends to apply for the development at 5393 Goulburn Valley Hwy, Yea, about one kilometre east of the Limestone Rd corner.

The application is for a permit to: construct and use of a dwelling, construct and use of a yoga and wellness retreat (yoga hall, main building, meditation hall, gazebo and storage facility), restaurant, group accommodation (five guest villas); and alteration of access.

Documents relating to the proposal will be available at the Yea and Alexandra offices of Murrindindi Shire Council.

Any person who may be affected by the granting of the permit may object or make other submissions to the responsible authority.

The Council will not decide on the application before February 6.
