Incorrect claims have been made elsewhere about a formal complaint lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission by Local Media Pty Ltd (publishers of The Local Paper) against Ashley Stephen Geelan, trading as Geelan Media and Kinglake Ranges News.

For the record, we advise that a formal complaint was made to the ACCC on Thursday, January 3, 2019. The online reference is entityform_id=201436.

A subsequent formal complaint (ACCC reference accc-smb:205059) has been lodged electronically, and a ‘hard copy’ of the complaint and a supporting file has also been sent by Registered Post to the ACCC’s Melbourne office. Our company holds Australia Post Lodgement Receipt and Article Lodgement document from the Australia Post – Research Licensed Post Office.

Local Media Pty Ltd will not be making any further comment about this matter whilst the ACCC due process is in progress.
