Death of popular teacher
The Local Paper regrets to advise of the passing yesterday (Sunday, Jan. 13) of Pete Davies. He was 74. Pete was a former teacher at the Plenty (Mernda) campus of Ivanhoe Grammar School. Funeral service arrangements are yet to be announced.

Saturday saw Yea host Avenel in the second day of their two-day match.
