Welcome to Dindi Daily for Tuesday, February 12.
An appointment with State Planning Minister Richard Wynne is in the sights of Yea developer Bill Anderson. He wants to argue that Murrindindi Shire Council has not been impartial about his application to subdivide land at Ewing Wynd.
Shakespeare in the Park will be performed with As You Like It, at the Watkins Street Reserve, Diamond Creek, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with performances starting from 7.30pm.
Eildon MP Cindy McLeish has spoken movingly in State Parliament about the 2009 Black Saturday fires. So too has Danielle Green, MLA for Yan Yean. Their speeches appear in this week’s issue of The Local Paper, out tomorrow.
And Ms McLeish has called for greater protections for local farmers after animal activists published their personal details on the internet.
“The potential for overzealous activists to trespass on a property and cause physical damage, or worse, be involved in an assault is very high,” Ms McLeish said.
