A busy day in Indi as counting continues tonight at local polling booths.

9.15pm update

The ABC says independent Imdi candidate Helen Haines is currently leading the vote count with 51.2 per cent of votes, with 44.9 per cent of votes counted. The ABC says this represents a 4.3 per cent swing against the independent.

Liberal candidate Steve Martin currently has 48.8 per cent of the vote.
