The Maroondah Highway will close between Healesville and Narbethong, through the ‘Black Spur’, for emergency tree works on Tuesday (Oct. 8).

During the works, from 7am to 7pm, signed detours will be in place via the Melba and Goulburn Valley highways through Yea and Alexandra.

This is a significant detour that could add more than an hour to the journey. Drivers should plan ahead to allow extra time.

A closure during daylight hours is necessary due to the size and location of a fallen tree, and the heavy machinery required for its removal.

The Department of Transport thanks drivers for their patience during these important works.
