Thursday, January 9, 2020
A Bushfire Management Plan is a requirement placed by Murrindindi Shire Council on a planning permit for a dwelling at 2997 Broadford – Flowerdale Road, Flowerdale.
Crs Eric Lording and Margaret Rae proposed that the Bushfire Managemnt Plan, a Land Management Plan, and other conditions, form part of the permit allowed. The vote was carried unanimously.
“The Bushfire Management Plan (prepared by Chantal Daniels, dated Nov. 1, 2019) must be endorsed to form part of the permit and must not be altered unless otherwise agreed in writing by the CFA and the Responsible Authority,” said part of the motion.
“The bushfire protection measures forming part of this permit or shown on the endorsed plans, including those relating to construction standards, defendable space, water supply and access, must be maintained to the satisfaction of the responsible authority on a continuing basis. This condition continues to have force and effect after the development authorised by this permit has been completed.
“Only one access will be permitted from the subject land to the Broadford
Flowerdale Road as shown on the plan appended to the application.”
