Petition about Strath Creek roads

A petition about road conditions at Strath Creek will be considered at the Murrindi Council meeting to be held at Yea on Wednesday (Jan. 22).
The petition relates to the sealing of the 2km section of road from the existing bitumen on Falls Rd along Allandale Rd to Hanna’s Rd in Strath Creek.
The petition was submitted by William John Rogers and was signed by 36 people.
This road has been identified by the petitioners as:
• servicing the Village Green & Pavilion Cricket Ground, which is a local tourism attraction
• being prone to pot holes due to the steep descent and a sharp 90 degree corner
• being regularly criticised by visitors and local residents
A staff officer is recommending that Councillors refer the petition to Vito Albicini, the Director Assets and Development, for a report to be prepared for February 26 ordinary meeting of council.
