This week’s Black Spur closures

Crews are continuing important tree removal works along the ‘Black Spur’ during the school holidays.
The Maroondah Highway, between Healesville and Narbethong ,will daily closures set up from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Monday-Thursday.
The closures will be in place from this week until Thursday, April 30, with the exception of Easter Monday (April 13).
Electronic signs are in place to safely guide motorists through the detour, using the Melba and Goulburn Valley Highways through Yea and Alexandra.
This is a significant detour that could add more than an hour to the journey. Drivers are encouraged to plan their travel outside of works hours, or to allow extra travel time.
The road will remain open for local traffic during the morning and afternoon and on Fridays and weekends.
Since starting tree removal earlier in March, the Department of Transport has removed 34 trees with another 64 to come out. Some 28 trees need large branches pruned
The ontractor is operating to ensure work practices comply with social distancing requirements.
Road closures are in place from:
• Monday, March 30 to Thursday, April 2
• Monday, April 6 to Thursday, April 9
• Tuesday, April 14 to Thursday, April 16
• Monday, April 20 to Thursday, April 23
• Monday, April 27 to Thursday, April 30
