NORTH-WEST: 5 teens arrested after chase

Detectives arrested five teens following a lengthy pursuit in Epping early on Saturday morning.
Investigators first spotted a stolen car in Footscray at the intersection of Ballarat Rd and Gordon St about 3.20am.
Officers followed the stolen car from Footscray, through North Melbourne, Brunswick, Brunswick East, Fitzroy, Carlton North then on to Separation St Northcote where the stolen car increased its speed to over 150kmh.
The Police airwing took up a position and followed the vehicle through Preston, Coburg, Fawkner, Epping before the vehicle was disabled on Cooper St, Epping, where the offenders attempted to flee the vehicle.
Two males and three female teen offenders were arrested at the scene.
A 15-year-old Brookfield boy has been charged with seven offences, including theft, conduct endangering serious injuries, dangerous driving whilst pursued by police and traffic offences and has been remanded in custody to appear at a childrens court at a later date.
A 13-year-old Melton South boy has been charged with two offences including theft and commit indictable offence whilst on bail and has been remanded in custody to appear at a childrens court at a later date.
Two girls, a 15-year-old from Truganina and a 14-year-old from Caroline Springs have been charged with theft and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
A 14-year-old Hillside girl has been released pending a caution for theft.
