BRIMBANK: Deer Park robbery attempt

Brimbank Divisional Response Unit Embona detectives have charged two people following an attempted robbery of a man in Deer Park this month.
The victim was sitting in his wheelchair outside a chemist on Ballarat Rd just before 6.30pm on September 13when he was approached by an unknown man and woman.
It is alleged the man and woman demanded money before throwing the 46-year-old man out of his wheelchair, unsuccessfully attempting to steal money and a mobile phone.
A 45-year-old Altona Meadows man has been charged with multiple offences including recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault and attempted robbery.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on October. 20
A 35-year-old Ardeer woman has been charged with multiple offences including recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault and attempted robbery.
She has been remanded to appear at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on Friday (Sept. 25).
Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing teenager Jacob Calder.
The 14-year-old was last seen leaving his St Albans address about 7pm on August 24.
Police and family hold concerns for Jacob’s welfare due to his age and the length of time he has been missing.
Jacob is described as being about 170cm tall with a thin build and short, wavy, blond hair.
He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black tracksuit pants and black Nike runners.
Jacob is known to frequent the Manor Lakes, Altona, Braybrook and Melbourne CBD areas.
