Detectives from the Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Footscray in January.

Investigators believe an unknown offender attended a Stanlake St residential address around 2.35pm on Saturday, January 16.

The offender stole jewellery and electrical items and was last seen heading west on Stanlake St towards Summerhill Rd.

The occupants of the house were not home at the time.

Police have released an image of a man who they believe can assist them with their enquiries.
