MORN. PENINSULA: Rosebud stabbing, 2 arrests

Police have arrested two men following an alleged stabbing in Rosebud on Thursday night (Feb. 4).
Investigators have been told the victim, a 28-year-old Rye male, was sitting in a vehicle along Rosebud Pde just after 11pm when he was flagged down by two males.
The victim exited his car and a verbal altercation took place before he was allegedly stabbed multiple times to the upper body.
The victim then ran to a nearby licensed venue along Eastbourne Rd, before the two men fled the scene.
The victim was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Police later located and arrested a 24-year-old Capel Sound man and a 23-year-old Tootgarook man.
Both men were interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
Investigations are ongoing and detectives urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
