CASEY: Chase drama at Lyndhurst

Detectives from the Southern Metro Regional Crime Team arrested two men following a series of aggravated burglaries in Melbourne’s south east.
It is alleged the two 18-year-old Cranbourne men and an unknown offender attended an address in Scurry Drive, Croydon about 10.15am on Friday morning (Feb. 11).
The men entered the address through an open garage door before stealing a white Mazda CX9 and a blue Mazda 3 sedan
Both Mazdas and a stolen black Audi Q5 wagon were spotted by uniformed Police driving erratically south along Canterbury Rd and Eastlink towards the south eastern suburbs.
The Police Air Wing were called and assisted officers on the ground.
The white Mazda CX9 came to a stop to Glasscocks Drive, Lyndhurst where the driver discarded the vehicle and was picked up by the driver of the black Audi Q5.
It is alleged the black Audi was stolen from a Chelsea address on February 9 with investigators linking the vehicle to other offending in Keysborough and Glen Waverley.
The vehicle was observed driving erratically west along Eastlink and through the Melbourne CBD before Police successfully intercepted the pair on the Calder Freeway near the Taylors Lakes exit.
An 18-year-old Cranbourne man and 18-year-old Cranbourne North man were arrested and were assisting Police with their inquiries.
The blue Mazda 3 sedan (ZDP868) remained outstanding at the time of going to press, and Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.come.au
