Officers from the Heavy Vehicle Unit impounded a car which was allegedly travelling at high speed along the Monash Freeway on Sunday, September 25.
Police detected the car travelling at an alleged 157kmh on the Monash Freeway at Dandenong about 1.50pm.
The car was intercepted and the driver, a 25-year-old man from Campbellfield, was spoken to.
He has had his car impounded for a period of 30 days and he has incurred impound costs $1006.
He is expected to be charged on summons for traffic offences including exceed speed limit and speed dangerous.
