PORT PHILLIP: Drugs seized at Port Melbourne

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man and woman after drugs were located in a car in Port Melbourne on Monday last week (June 26).
Police searched a stationary vehicle on Stokes St and and say that they located methamphetamine, cocaine, prescription medication about 11.45pm.
It is alleged they also found a taser, numerous ID’s, phones and sim cards.
A 29-year-old Werribee man and a 27-year-old Forest Hill woman were arrested at the scene.
Police executed a search warrant at a property in Forest Hill where further drugs were allegedly located and seized.
The Werribee man has been charged with trafficking drugs of dependence, handling stolen goods and possessing prescription medication.
He was released on bail and appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
The Forest Hill woman was charged with a number of offences including trafficking drugs of dependence, handling stolen goods and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
She was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday (June 28).
