MERRI-BEK: Lost their ‘Marbles’ at Brunswick East


Police are appealing for public assistance after an eight-year-old miniature Pomeranian, Marbles, was stolen in Brunswick East.
Officers believe that an unknown offender has removed and stolen Marbles from an unlocked grey Kia Sportage, parked on O’Connor St near the intersection of Lygon St, sometime between 12 Noon and 12.30pm last Wednesday (July 5).
Marbles was secured inside a canvas crate on the front seat of the Kia at the time. She is tan in colour and was wearing a red collar at the time.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing. Investigators have released an image of Marbles in the hope someone may be able to provide information on her current whereabouts.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
