Upcoming roadworks will affect the Kinglake-Glenburn Rd and Bower St intersection at Kinglake.

Murrindindi Council were slow to issue advice to the public, with a notice posted to the Shire website on Friday (July 14).

The Council failed to send notification of the works to The Local Paper.

Starting from Monday, July 17, the intersection will undergo an upgrade that involves sealing 50 metres of Bower St to the intersection with Kinglake-Glenburn Rd and extending some footpaths. The upgrade aims to improve the safety and accessibility of the area for motorists and pedestrians.

The works are expected to be completed by early August, weather permitting. However, during this period, there will be some traffic disruptions and detours in place. Bower Street will be closed to Kinglake-Glenburn Rd for the duration of the works, so motorists will need to use Mill St and Fern St to access Kinglake-Glenburn Rd from Bower St.
