GREATER DANDENONG: Arrests after hoon driving

Three men have been charged, and two vehicles seized, following an investigation into alleged hoon driving.
A 28-year-old from Berwick – who is facing more than 100 charges – as well as a 20-year-old from Hallam and an 18-year-old from Hallam, were arrested by investigators from the Dandenong Achilles Taskforce.
This came after Police were alerted to vision of alleged hoon driving in Traralgon East on Saturday, June 24, where several cars were gathered to perform burnouts. The vision was allegedly then uploaded to social media.
Following extensive enquiries, Police executed five search warrants at homes in Berwick and Pakenham, as well as an industrial premises in Pakenham, from about 5am Thursday (July 20).
A 28-year-old man was arrested at a home on Jarryd Crescent, Berwick.
He was taken to Dandenong Police Station where he was charged with 111 offences; one of the greatest amounts of charges served by the Dandenong Achilles Taskforce. The charges include:
• Reckless conduct endangering serious injury,
• Incitement,
• breach of bail conditions,
• commit indictable offence whilst on bail,
• drive vehicle cause loss of traction,
• drive in a manner dangerous,
• use unsafe vehicle, and,
• making or causing unnecessary noise and smoke.
The Berwick man was remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday
During a search at a home on Kilberry Crescent, Hallam, two men – aged 18 and 20 – were arrested and taken to Dandenong Police Station, where they were both charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury, drive in a manner dangerous, and drive vehicle cause loss of traction.
