Missing Persons Squad detectives arrested two people following the death of a man in Chadstone.
A 36-year-old Chadstone woman was arrested on Thursday night (July 20) in Seaford, while a 35-year-old Chadstone man was arrested on Friday afternoon in Carrum Downs.
The pair were to be interviewed by Police.
The arrests follow an incident where a man aged in his 40s was fatally assaulted.
At this stage the exact circumstances of the assault are yet to be determined, however it is believed that the incident occurred at a property on Binalong Avenue, Chadstone.
On Tuesday (July 18), emergency services were called to a fire at this address and that fire is being treated as a suspicious.
A significant search was undertaken by Police for the man as part of the investigation.
A body of a man was located on Railway Parade in Chadstone.
It is believed the parties involved were known to each other and the investigation remains ongoing.
