Detectives from the Gang Crime Squad have arrested a man in West Footscray as part of an investigation into fraud and drug matters.The 25-year-old was arrested at a residential property just after 7.40am on Thursday (June 29) in relation to seven outstanding warrants.The arrest follows a public appeal for information earlier this month.

MERRI-BEK: Death at Brunswick

A man has died following a collision in Brunswick.Emergency services were called to Glenlyon Rd after a Mazda3 rear-ended another vehicle just after 7.30am on June 19.The Mazda driver, a 57-year-old man from Collingwood, declined treatment and returned home where he sadly passed away later that day.The driver of the other car was not injured.
