The many community service roles carried out by Maurice Raymond Pawsey OAM were remembered at the funeral service held at the Alexandra Football and Netball Clubrooms on January 8. The service was followed by private cremation.

The Alexandra identity passed away at the age of 95. He been an active Rotarian, prominent churchman, and was a leading supporter of Kellock Lodge.

Maurie Pawsey was born on October 28, 1928, and died on December 30, 2023. He was husband to Marida, and was fgather, father-in-law and grandfather respectively to Andrew, Russell, Mark and Cathy; Jodie, Leith, Jeanette and Gary; Ashleigh, Jordan, Mitchell, Julia, Scott and Sophie.
