WYNDHAM: Burnout in front of Police

A dirt bike rider who performed a burnout in front of police on Thursday night (Jan. 11) has been arrested in Werribee.
The rider was travelling along Point Cook Rd, near Sneydes Rd, when he was spotted by Police about 8.30pm.
Officers were in close proximity to the rider when he allegedly looked at them, performed a burnout and lost traction with his wheels.
The Air Wing assisted units on the ground as the rider took off down Sneydes Rd then along Duncans Rd where he mounted a gutter and rode on the footpath trying to get away.
The 19-year-old rider also allegedly ran a number of red lights through Werribee before officers caught up with him outside a home in Taisho Ct, Werribee.
The teen, who was found to be over the limit after he furnished a breath test result of 0.078, has been charged with conduct endangering life, unlicensed riding, loss of traction, drink driving and other traffic related matters.
The Werribee boy’s phone has also been seized after he was seen allegedly using his phone to film police as they attempted to pull him over in Duncans Rd.
He has been bailed to appear before Werribee Magistrates’ Court on July 30.
The dirt bike was also impounded for 30 days at a cost of $995.
