Yarra Ranges Highway Patrol officers continue to investigate a fatal crash in Monbulk late last year.

Investigators believe a man in a white Honda sedan was driving along Monbulk Rd when he veered from the road about 6.30pm on December 2.

It is understood that the Honda left the road and travelled down an embankment before crashing into a tree.

The driver, 41-year-old Noble Park man, died at the scene.

Officers have been told a small silver hatchback was seen in near vicinity to the Honda just prior to the crash.

Investigators believe the driver of this vehicle may be able to assist with enquiries.
