STONNINGTON: Stabbing – 4th man charged


Detectives from the Echo Taskforce have charged a fourth man as part of their investigation into a brawl outside a Prahran night club in August.
A 23-year-old Corio man, believed to be an associate of the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, was arrested at an address in Corio last Thursday morning (Oct. 2).
He has since been charged with affray, common law assault and assault by kicking.
He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 9.
The arrest follows an incident about 3.45am on August 18 where a number of people were involved in an affray outside a Malvern Rd night club.
A 23-year-old Bell Post Hill man, who is also linked to the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, was arrested in September and charged with affray, common law assault and fail to provide a password.
The man was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 9.
A 39-year-old Tarneit man, who is a patched member of the Comanchero OMCG, was arrested in September and charged with common law assault, affray, intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault, use threatening words, fail to notify Firearm Prohibition Order registry of change of address and possess prohibited weapon. He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 11.
The charges relate to the affray on August 18 and also a second incident in Windsor on August 13 where a store security guard was allegedly assaulted.
A 43-year-old Hillside man, who is linked to the Comanchero OMCG, was arrestedin September in relation to the August affray 18. He was subsequently charged with affray, common law assault and fail to provide a password.
The man was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 9.
