Nunawading Highway Patrol officers have impounded a car after it was detected allegedly speeding on the Eastern Freeway last Tuesday night (Oct. 8).
Officers detected a black Audi A4 allegedly travelling at 137-kmh in a 100-kmh speed zone, near the Chandler Highway exit about 9.40pm. The car was intercepted and the driver, a 41-year-old man from Menzies Creek, underwent a preliminary breath test. He then returned an alleged evidentiary reading of 0.139.
