Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man with murder following the fatal stabbing of a man in South Melbourne on Friday night, November 29.
A 31-year-old Port Melbourne man was taken into custody nd was interviewed by investigators.
The man has subsequently been charged with one count of murder.
He was to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
The charge follows an incident where emergency services were called after a man was located with serious injuries at a property on Iffla St just before 7.30pm.
A 30-year-old South Melbourne man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
