BAYSIDE: Radio’s Kyle and Jackie to drop balls from the sky after permit OK’d
KIIS FM radio pair Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson have been granted last-minute permission by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to drop foam balls from a helicopter above Elsternwick Park Tennis Centre this morning (Fri., Jan. 24).
The radio stunt will go ahead between 6am-9am this morning at Brighton following permission from the government authority, despite objections from local rersidents.

The operator demonstrated that it c ould meet the aviation safety requirements, a CASA representative was quoted to say by Brooke Grebert-Craig of the Herald Sun newspaper.
“It’s literally a lawsuit waiting to happen,” resident Lucy Ellen was quoted to say.
“An aircraft will drop foam balls onto the tennis courts in a controlled and carefully managed manner,” said a letter to residents from ARN, owners of the KIIS radio station.
