STONNINGTON: Chapel St Festival stays in doubt
Stonningtonm Council is unable to say whether or not the Chapel St Fetuival will go ahead as planned on February 23. The event appears to have been cancelled indefinitely.
“The festival is not managed by Council, it is wholly owned and organised by the Chapel Street Precinct Association, an independent organisation,” a Council representative said.
“In late December, CSPA’s President advised Council of his resignation and stated that the festival would no longer be progressing,” the public statement said.
“Council has reached out to the remaining CSPA committee members seeking clarification on the festival’s status. We are still awaiting a response<” the Stonnington representative said.
