WHITTLESEA: $390,000 City boss focuses on extra part-time job
Whittlesea Council CEO Craig Lloyd has been busy with his additional part-time career as a country music artist.
During January, Mr Lloyd and Kinglake artist Merelyn Carter were named at the Tamworth Country Music Awards for their collaboration, ‘Little Country Store’.
Tamworth, in northern New South Wales, is 1128 kilometres away from the South Morang headquarters of the City of Whittlesea.
Earlier in January, Mr Lloyd was Master of Ceremonies for the Tamworth Songwriters Association Awards.
On February 7 (the anniversary of the Black Saturday fires), Mr Lloyd’s website says he will be at the Devil Country Muster 2025 at Scotchtown in north-west Tasmania, 370 kilometres via Bass Strait away from his full-time job.
According to his website, “Craig Lloyd is a multi-award winning Country Music singer and songwriter, born in London, England, and now living in regional Victoria, Australia.”
“Craig was the “National Male Artist of the Year 2023″, awarded by the Tasmanian Independent Country Music Association, and last year Craig’s single ”Thank You Country” topped the Charts for seven weeks.”
At his website, Mr Lloyd advertises his latest album for sale at $20 each.
Meanwhile, at the City of Whittlesea, the Council’s annual report indicates that Mr Lloyd is on an annual salary of $390,000-$399,999 (at least $7500 per week).
