BOROONDARA: 4 arrested over Kew burgalry


UPDATE: Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged four teenagers following an alleged home invasion in Kew on Monday morning (Feb. 24).

They were located on Bramley Court where they were all arrested.

Two have been remanded into custody and two were bailed to appear before a children’s court at a later date.

: Police have arrested four teenagers following an aggravated burglary in Kew on Monday morning (Feb. 24).

It is alleged a stolen BMW arrived at a property on Sackville St about 4am.

Four male offenders allegedly got out of the vehicle and forced entry into the house, where they confronted a female occupant who was in bed.

They allegedly demanded keys and stole a mobile phone, wallet and jewellery, whilst the male occupant called triple zero.

The two victims were not physically injured.

The offenders fled on foot.

The Dog Squad and Air Wing searched for the teens, who allegedly jumped over fences at nearby properties.

They were located on Bramley Court where they were all arrested.

The four teenagers, aged 14 to 16, were taken into custody where they will be interviewed.

The BMW was allegedly stolen from a property in Cranbourne West overnight.
