DAREBIN: CEO refuses to meet with resident
Darebin Council’s Interim CEO Michael Tudball has refused to meet with a community activist Peter Thomson who is concerned about public housing matters in Reservoir.
Mr Thomson has concerns about the public housing estate bounded by Strathmerton St, Bolderwood Pde and Dunolly Crescent ,Reservoir.
Mr Thomson submitted a polite written request to meet with Mr Tudball.
“Since we have not at all met in any capacity at all I am thinking that this should be remedied rather sooner than later especially given the prevailing times existing both here and internationaly,” Mr Thomson said.
“To this end may I suggest a meeting on common ground such as the Reservoir Neighbourhood House in Cuthbert Rd, Reservoir.
“I do have some flexibility in times and therefore await your selection of such within your normal business hours for yourself to determine of course. I await therefore your considered reply at your earliest convenience.”’
An unnamed ‘Customer Resolutions Officer’ at Darebin Council wrote to Mr Thomson last Thursday (Mar. 6): “Thank you for the email. The CEO office has advised the CEO won’t be meeting with you at this time. In the event you need to raise an issue, please contact customer service on [phone number],” the reply said.
