FRANKSTON: $5m for Bruce Park
Frankston City Council’s advocacy priorities campaign is off to a flying start, with the Federal Government announcing a $5 million commitment towards the redevelopment of Bruce Park Pavilion if re-elected.
The Council will $3.33 million, bringing the total funding for the project to $8.33 million.
The Bruce Park Pavilion redevelopment is one of Council’s key four advocacy priorities for the 2025 federal election.
This investment will provide a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility for over 1000 participants across AFL, cricket, and tennis, providing more opportunities for participation – particularly for young girls and women.
Frankston City Mayor Cr Kris Bolam welcomed the news, which was announced on site at Bruce Park by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Dunkley MHR Jodie Belyea.
“This is a fantastic step forward for our community. The redevelopment of Bruce Park Pavilion will provide much-needed facilities for our local sporting clubs and ensure that our Frankston City can continue to grow and thrive,” he said.
“We look forward to making this project a reality.”
