KINGSTON: Suspicious fire at Braeside factory


Fire Rescue Victoria crews rushed to a large panel beating factory fire on Boundary Rd, Braeside, after callers to Triple Zero reported hearing explosions at 3.50am on Sunday, July 13.
Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes, shortly before 4am to find a 30 metre by 60 metre brick factory fully ablaze and escalated the response.
Firefighters utilised multiple hoselines and aerial firefighting appliances to try and bring the fire under control.
The fire was declared under control at 05:00am, 63 minutes after FRV crews arrived on scene.
A community advice message was issued for the area due to large amounts of smoke emanating from the fire.
CFA, Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene assisting.
The fire has been deemed suspicious.
